Our last wedding this year proved to be a whirlwind of color, activity, family ties and love. This was the very first time photographing an Indian ceremony. Niki and I were thrilled and left breathless from the experience. We cannot wait to do another one!
The whole day is not just about the coming together of two people but really it is about the bringing together of two families. Never have we felt so in the mix of things. I loved that throughout different parts of the ceremony we were invited to come in close.
Anju came with her sisters and other family member to get ready. Could she be any more beautiful. So much texture and vibrate colors in her saree. The mehndi on her ands and feet was simply amazing.

The Barat was unbeiliviable! It was so emotional for us. We were thrilled by the energy and people who came with Sri. We kept saying to each other " I am loving this! So much fun! I think I'm gonna cry!"
What I loved most was how inviting everyone was! I was able to get up close - surrounded by all the family and friends of Anju and Sri. We felt so a part of the whole celebrations. We love all kinds of ceremonies for sure, but what was so amazing during this ceremony was the way were were allowed to participate. During parts of the Barat and Jai Mala we were as close as we could get, completely surrounded by the guests. I loved it.

Thanks you so much Anju and Sri for letting us be a part of this beautiful, emotional, amazing day.
We have more to come of this amazing day so stay tuned!

kfb3.jpgKim and I are thrilled to present our first family session! For years we have photographed families separately. But recently, the idea of applying our dual perspective to our family clients began to arise, as our wedding clients start families of their own!

Kate and her incredible family gave us a chance to put our aesthetic into action. Of course, Kate has so much style, she made our job easy. Even the chair is Kate's!

KateCollage.jpgKate, thank you so much for sharing your family with us! We look forward to capturing the next chapters in your amazing story.

amb2.jpgKim and I were thrilled to photograph Amy and Matt as they tied the knot in San Francisco's iconic City Club! We met Matt last February, when he stood up for Mark at his wedding to Stephanie. When we sat down with Matt and Amy, we just flipped for them-- I love the way he looks at her, and the way Amy has to plant a kiss on him every so often. So sweet!

AMcollage.jpgAmy and Matt, thank you so much for including us in this amazing day! Much love to you!

Niki and I were thrilled to be back in the city for Aaron and Kelly's wedding. Can we just say, we LOVE this couple! Their first sight was maybe the most athetic one we've ever had.
We had a great time walking from the hotels they each stayed at to The Lyon Street Steps to photograph the first sight.
Niki spent time with girls while Kim spent time with the boys - which included going all the way down to a local bar at the BOTTOM of the Lyon Street Steps. Just as the boys sat down for a drink we realized the girls were waiting... so Aaron and Kim RAN 3 blocks back to the steps AND THEN ran all the way back up to meet with Kelly! Whew... got my work out that day.

Niki got to hang out with the girls while Kelly got ready.

Thank you Kim & Nikki for telling our story - we had a wonderful day! We loved gallivanting around Pacific Heights with you and appreciate your athletic efforts in our honor! And your patience as we waited and hoped that the Blue Angles would fly overhead! The sentiments that you captured in your blog take us back to our special day - thank you for being such and important part of it!
