Kim and I had the pleasure of photographing Melissa and Brent-- after meeting them for the very first time! This wedding came to us at the very last minute, courtesy of Kim Lange Events. Kim Lange-- an amazingly creative event designer-- called us when Melissa and Brent's photographer backed out 8 days before the wedding. We jumped on the chance to work with Kim, and were THRILLED when we heard about all the personal and stylish elements Melissa and Brent had planned. From start to finish, this day was a real treat. We captured their first sight meeting on Bernal Hights Hill, overlooking the city, then moved onto the Verdi Club, for the cermeony and reception. Melissa rocked two dresses, honoring both the 40s and the 50s. Brent built an altar from books and candles, paying homage to their favorite writers. Surrounded by family and friends, Melissa and Brent tied the knot!

A few weeks ago Kim and I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Emily and James. It was a magical day, filled with friends and family, and tons of amazing details. Using a travel theme, Em and James treated their guest to a ride on their own airline-- and everyone had an amazing time!
Emily and James married at Cathedral Basilica of Saint Joseph in San Jose, CA. Their incredible reception took place at the San Jose City Hall Rotunda. The lighting was provided by North America Theatre Technology Inc. To see more from this incredible event, please scroll through the blog show!

Kim and I had the pleasure of photographing Mimi and Chris, just knockin' around the city. The both live and work in the city, so we thought it would be fun to have a whirlwind adventure-- stopping in several picturesque locations. One spot we had to avoid was the Presidio, and all of the surrounding areas, because Mimi and Chris are having their September wedding there. We can't wait!
We started on the Embarcedero. This is out on Pier 14. The light was beautiful, and Mimi and Chris were naturals in front of the camera!

Kim and I met up with Sonia and Kevin at Caffe La Scala, an intimate coffee shop in Walnut Creek. This spot is a favorite for them-- and now it is one of our favorites too! We took this stunning couple around town, and they were great sports-- climbing a hill of gravel in killer shoes, canoodling in public. :) We left downtown for the Sugarloaf Open Space, and completely changed gears. Check out Sonia in her rockin' dress! Overall, it was a picture perfect session!

Kim and I left the Bay Area for the fresh air of Lake Tahoe, and the wedding of Erin and Larry, both doctors who currently reside on the east coast. Everything about this day was a pleasure! Erin and Larry have the most amazing family and friends, and they came from all over the country to share the joy of their wedding. It was a beautiful day, from start to finish.
