Last week, Kim and I met up with Felicia and Brian, on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. (Yeah, we have a great job!) The sky was grey when we started, but it was the perfect backdrop to the vivid colors of the boardwalk, and the vibrant smiles of Felicia and Brian.

As we hit the beach, the sun came out. Brian and Felicia were great sports, as Kim and I explored every nook and cranny of the train trestle, right next to the Boardwalk.

Kim and I were thrilled to photograph Laura and Jon's wedding, at Murietta's Well in Livermore, CA. You may recognize this stunning couple from their Hitchcock-inspired engagement session. But our history with Jon and Laura goes further than that-- we met Laura and Jon while working with Alicia and Eric (Jon's brother). It was a perfect match, both for them and with us! We just can't say enough about his couple. Along with their families and friends, they are the very best kind of people. :)

Laura:

What a special day. Working with such talented, positive, and sweet individuals such as yourselves made our day stress-free (except for Jon having the stomach flu :). When I saw you two walk through my mom's front door when we were getting ready, I knew the fun had started. I can't get over how easy-going, professional, and extremely detail-oriented you two are. I am singing, and will continue to sing your praises. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Kim and I had the pleasure of spending a warm afternoon with Andrea and Steve, running around the Ferry Building in San Francisco. Like many people, Andrea and Steve met at work, at an historic building nearby. Since their story started there, it seemed the perfect place to start our session.

aseb4.jpgWe explored all of Andrea and Steve's favorite places, learning about all the things they love to share-- good food, coffee, books, and cooking. Of course, the Ferry Building offers all this and more. :)

Wow! What a phenomenal weekend! Niki and I were so lucky to get to spend this last weekend in Sonoma with a amazing group of people that was Great and Bailey's friends and family. Greta and Bailey were fun, sweet and so easy to look at (and photograph!) to say the least! We gathered at Cline Winery for the day of the wedding.

Niki and I started out with Greta as she and her 10 bridesmaids got ready!  Greta was so at ease you would never know she was about to walk down the aisle.
gb.blog5.jpg

I love this moment. I always get so happy when both parents travel down the aisle with the groom.

gb.blog4.jpgOkay so just as Greta started walking towards the aisle, Bailey looked over at the maid of honor - she was crying, so Bailey got teary eyed... I got teary eyed... I'm sure Niki was teary eyed....not a dry eye to be found!

The wedding party was awesome! It was freezing and close to rain, but everyone in the wedding party was great getting this set up. And the Universe smiled on us and let the sun peak out for just a second so we could get this beautiful light!

Kim and I had the pleasure of joining Greta and Bailey at their after-rehearsal celebration, the night before their wine country wedding. Viansa is an amazing venue, on a hilltop in Sonoma, with incredible views of the valley-- a perfect place for a mini engagement session! We squeezed in a quick set, before Greta and Bailey welcomed their many out of town guests. Perfect!
